PLAZA FOCH AND LA MARISCAL DISTRICT
In Quito, there is a whole neighborhood where there’s always fun and party, this is La Mariscal District, and its heart: Plaza Foch.
 
Quito Historic Center (Old Town)
Quito’s historic center is the largest, most-intact and best-restored Old Town in the Americas. The more than 320 hectares were proclaimed as the first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. You can’t miss visiting this cultural treasure of Ecuador and the entire world.
 
Quito Business District
Mainly this is the North Side of Quito, where the main banks and malls are. The business district of Quito lies around the Carolina Park and offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and more.
 
galapagos islands
The famous Galapagos Islands are known for their vast number of endemic species and their breathtaking and exotic beauty. It was declared Natural World Heritage by the UNESCO in 1978, and in 1986 was declared Marine Reserve. There’s no other place in the world like Galapagos Islands.
 
Mitad del Mundo – Middle of the World City
It’s a touristic and commercial city near Quito, it is the smallest of Ecuador. Located in the equator line, at parallel 0º, it offers a wide variety of cultural and handicraft shops, many cultural events, and the Center of the World monument in which lies within the National Ethnographic Museum.
 
Pasochoa National Park
Pasochoa is an extinct volcano located just an hour from Quito, at the South-East side. It reaches the 13780 feet over the sea level and is guarded by a huge forest which is a Natural Reserve. It is a shelter of a wide variety of endemic Andean species.
 
Pululahua Geo-botanical Reserve
Pululahua is an inactive volcano located at the north side of Quito, less than an hour far. Inside its crater lies a little town that offers some tourist activities inside the Reserve, including horseback riding, trekking and mountain biking.
 
COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK
Cotopaxi is one of the highest mountains in Ecuador and one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. It is located at the South side of Quito, about a two hour trip. It’s beautiful landscapes and the relative easiness of its ascension has made this volcano one of the favorite destinations in Ecuador.
